This is Anastasia. She was a gift from a friend who collects antiques herself and knows I love dolls. She picked her up at a doll shop in Maine. One of my favorite time periods is the Victoria Era and that's why she chose this doll.

Here's the story . . .

This is from Anne, a member of our shop.

She was presented to me in February 2016. Her detailed history is unknown. The only thing my friend could tell me is that she's about 45 years old and had 3 owners prior to me. One was a little girl who had a traumatic childhood.

The name shop owner said the doll's name is Anastasia - even though the doll came in a Prestige Collection box with the name, Monique, stamped on the box. I researched and couldn't find a doll from that collection with the name, Monique. Odd, since it's actually on the box. I think this doll is from another collection and regardless of the general name, this particular doll is named Anastasia.

Upon holding her, I could feel her energy. I collect dolls and none of my dolls felt like her. All was quiet until August. That's when she woke up. Many strange things directly relating to this doll have happened from August 2016 until now.

She "moves" from room to room and is found in strangely odd places - like a bathtub, closet in the foyer, kitchen cabinet, or on top of the fridge. My child's friends often stay the night. One night, one of them knocked on my bedroom door in a panic saying the doll was floating through the guest bedroom. A neighbor witnessed that, too. He knocked on my front door and before I could get there, noticed the doll floating down the hallway and ducking into a room. Two other visiting relatives saw it as well. I have her in my studio. There have been electrical difficulties in that room since she's been there with no explanation. I hear singing in the morning before opening the door to come in. I've also seen movement from her from the corner of my eye but when I look over, she's still. And she stares. I've put her in positions where she's looking straight ahead and a few minutes later, it seems as though she turned to stare straight at me.

Though she's quite chilling, she doesn't have a malicious energy to her. Highly active but not evil! Let me add, I don't think the doll is alive! I think she is "possessed" with an energy though. The energy feels to be spiritual rather than earthly to me. (Spiritual - from the spirit world - but not demonic. Earthly - from a human source - such as a magical practitioner.) My pets are not frightened of her like they are some other haunted items. I do ask that you give Anastasia some time to become accustom to you and your home because the activity we're experiencing now didn't happen until she was here for a while.

Specifics ~

The doll is porcelain about 22 inches, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a beautiful Victorian dress with a pouch purse, pearls, and a hat. There are no stamps or markings on her that we can see. Again, she's about 45 years old, in good condition but the dress looks a bit faded to me. The hat moves on her head which could be how she was made, or it could be slightly damaged.

Shipping ~

Important: We pack every single item appropriately using bubble or pillow wrap, cushioning paper, cardboard, padded envelopes, sturdy boxes, fragile stamps, and any other necessary method to fulfill our responsibility as the shipper. Therefore, we are not responsible for damage caused by the postal service after the item leaves our hands. Any shipping problems should be directed to “claims” at the US Postal Service. The insurance included with shipping is $50 to $100. If you’d like up to $5,000, there will be a $10 fee since the cost depends on the distance and whether we use first class or priority mail for your package. We have a listing for additional insurance. Please add it to your order if you’d like additional coverage.

We only ship to addresses within the USA (including Hawaii and Alaska). If you live outside the US and want to order from us, please secure a US shipping address through a mailing service.

We proudly recycle shipping boxes for environmental and economical benefits. About 30 percent of our orders are shipped through recycled shipping boxes. We only reuse boxes that are in proper condition, and we use all new shipping envelopes and packing material.

Privacy ~

Bloo Moon does not share information with other companies or individuals, and we do not have access to your bank information or card numbers. The information we gather, including your name, postal address, and email address, is strictly confidential and never shared with anyone outside the company. Your inquiries and purchases are not disclosed to other companies or individuals. Communication between the customer and Customer Care is usually to assist with purchases, provide shipping information, and answer general questions about items. We sometimes send coupons, special offers, promotional, or marketing postal mailers and emails to our clients and customers. Vintage & Antique Items ~

Not all of our items have “haunting histories” so please read each listing very carefully. For the items that do have haunting histories . . .

They will arrive to you as we receive or find them. We do not “spiritually cleanse”, physically restore, or even dust off these items. They're all sold "as is". We don't want to disturb their energy state as any part of the object is an extension of that energy. If you, the new owner, decide to clean or restore the item, that's your choice, of course, but many do not. By sending the object to you the way we received it, you can make the decision rather than us making it for you.

Energy cannot be destroyed but can be transferred or transformed. So maybe it’s not such a far-reaching, kooky, or ridiculous idea that intelligent energy could attach to a special object. However, attachment and expression are two different things. Just because a haunted object exists doesn’t necessarily mean it will produce a paranormal result. Perhaps the intelligence behind it needs to be in a comfortable and secure position before reacting. So please allow time for your object to bond to you before you see results of any spiritual manifestations. Bonding could happen immediately, or it could happen in six months or a year. In some cases, it doesn't happen at all for one person but a friend or a family member or even a pet could cause a reaction. If you're magnetically drawn to an item, it's meant for you.
