Here's the story . . .

This mysterious necklace belonged to a beautiful woman named Delilah. She was from New Orleans, and she apparently never aged.

Mark, the man who owns this necklace now, said he had a long, secret romance with Delilah. The reason their romance was secret was because they were both married to other people. Their relationship began in the fall of 1965. Delilah claimed to be 27 years old. They broke up in 1987. Delilah would have been 49 years old at that time, but Mark said she didn't look a day older than when they met in 1965.

During their relationship, he also noticed strange activity from her. Her lifestyle was odd. She avoided going outside on sunny days and preferred the night. She never ate anything in his company. When they would go out to dinner, she wouldn't order food. Only wine but wouldn't drink it. Her home was in a secluded part of the city, somewhat on the outskirts. Various people went missing very close to her home over the years. Her husband appeared to be youthful into his 40s as well. Mark found all of this weird. When he questioned Delilah, she would become angry and refuse to answer.

After their affair ended, Mark noticed Delilah's purse under the passenger's side car seat. He looked inside. There were several tubes of (what he thought was) blood, a love letter to her from someone he never heard of dated September 15, 1845, an old tin picture of Delilah appearing to be the same young age, and several pieces of jewelry that she wore regularly. This necklace was among them. Mark took the purse and contents to her house. He planned to leave the purse on her doorstep. However, the house was abandoned. She was gone. He was devastated.

Mark is almost 90 years old now. He is living in a retirement community close to New Orleans. A nurse visited the community recently. She was there to draw blood for various tests. Mark found that extremely odd since most of the residents had different doctors, and there was no order from any of them for blood drawing. He declined to attend the event. However, the nurse knocked on his door. When he opened, he nearly hit the floor. It was Delilah, and she looked exactly as she did in 1965. She asked for her purse. He was shocked. He dug it out of an old suitcase and handed it to her shaking from head to toe.

She took the love letter and her picture and left the jewelry. She told him to keep the pieces to remind him of her. She said they're dripping with darkly-charmed vampiric energy. She said the pieces have been protecting him all those years, and any woman who wears the necklace (and other pieces) will be pleasantly surprised by the seductive qualities, protective energy, and intuitive dream charm they will receive. She encouraged him to give the necklace to one of his granddaughters, but he's uncomfortable with that. That's why he'd like to sell the necklace (and other pieces). He doesn't want them to be thrown away upon his death, but he's too frightened by the intensity to give it to his granddaughters.

Specifics ~

The owner had no idea how to describe the necklace. The only thing he was able to tell us is that Delilah was wearing it when they met in 1965. So it was made in that year or earlier. From what we can see, it's a nice piece of costume jewelry. It doesn't look like it was expensive when it was created, and it doesn't seem to have any gem or gold properties to it. It is a very pretty necklace though. Light weight. And it truly is full of energy. Everyone's who's handle it said they can feel a surge when holding it. We took several pictures, and most of them turned out like the third picture listed. (Perhaps from the energy.) We were able to get the first two clearly. Mark's price may seem high for costume jewelry, but it is vintage, and it does have an intensity about it. Because of its special history, he doesn't want to let it go for anything less than what he feels in his heart it's worth.

Care ~

Even though this is costume jewelry, we recommend fine jewelry care. We recommend jewelry removal before showing, washing dishes, swimming, vigorous exercise, manicures, hand and body cream use, and chemical use (such as hair dye, harsh soaps, hand sanitizer, cleaning products, etc.) to avoid exposing the ring to harsh or damaging chemicals or residue that could cause a filmy appearance. Clean with appropriate jewelry cleaner, a soft brush, or soft cloth. Store in a dry area, in a jewelry box, jewelry holder, or jewelry bag. We are not responsible for damage caused by not following proper care instructions.

Shipping ~

Important: We pack every single item appropriately using bubble or pillow wrap, cushioning paper, cardboard, padded envelopes, sturdy boxes, fragile stamps, and any other necessary method to fulfill our responsibility as the shipper. Therefore, we are not responsible for damage caused by the postal service after the item leaves our hands. Any shipping problems should be directed to “claims” at the US Postal Service. The insurance included with shipping is $50 to $100. If you’d like up to $5,000, there will be a $10 fee since the cost depends on the distance and whether we use first class or priority mail for your package. We have a listing for additional insurance. Please add it to your order if you’d like additional coverage.

We only ship to addresses within the USA (including Hawaii and Alaska). If you live outside the US and want to order from us, please secure a US shipping address through a mailing service.

We proudly recycle shipping boxes for environmental and economical benefits. About 30 percent of our orders are shipped through recycled shipping boxes. We only reuse boxes that are in proper condition, and we use all new shipping envelopes and packing material.

The information we gather, including your name, postal address, and email address, is strictly confidential and never shared with anyone outside the company. Vintage & Antique Items ~

Not all of our items have “haunting histories” so please read each listing very carefully. For the items that do have haunting histories . . .

They will arrive to you as we receive or find them. We do not “spiritually cleanse”, physically restore, or even dust off these items. They're all sold "as is". We don't want to disturb their energy state as any part of the object is an extension of that energy. If you, the new owner, decide to clean or restore the item, that's your choice, of course, but many do not. By sending the object to you the way we received it, you can make the decision rather than us making it for you.

Energy cannot be destroyed but can be transferred or transformed. So maybe it’s not such a far-reaching, kooky, or ridiculous idea that intelligent energy could attach to a special object. However, attachment and expression are two different things. Just because a haunted object exists doesn’t necessarily mean it will produce a paranormal result. Perhaps the intelligence behind it needs to be in a comfortable and secure position before reacting.
